Kovalchuk and his colleagues looked at over 400 cannabis strains and found about a dozen that have the most potential to stop COVID-19 in its tracks.
Then, using artificial human 3-D tissue models, they studied how their chosen strains may react to COVID-19 infections in the oral, airway, and intestinal tissues.
